I understand that, but I feel like this mentality is preventing devs from exploring other aspects of the medium. Devs took such a long time to make an experience like PT because they didn't want to risk being called a "walking simulator".
There are autists in the community that will scream at any game that is more artistically focused rather than gameplay focused. Meaning most devs don't want to make artistic games because they risk not selling.
The success that PT had shows that there is a demand for this type of game. Devs just have to take the risk and ignore the vocal minority.

No, its pretty much the exact opposite. Twitch thots were so disgusting and slutty that it created a demand for pure female streamers. Ask anyone here and they will tell you they fucking hate twitch 3dpd. I also guarantee that most vtuber fans you talk to on twitter will also say they do not regularly watch twitch girls.
Speaking as an EOP american, I can say that seiso vtubers are a breath of fresh air. Western culture as a whole has been getting worse and worse in terms of degeneracy. Our female youtubers/streamers are just whores who shake their ass, talk about how much dick they suck, and then try to sell their onlyfans. In pop culture the female entertainers are gross people like amy schumer who just talks about sex and vagina for every "joke" she makes.
That's my EOP perspective on the whole thing. Vtubers basically brought the female idol craze to the west the same way that kpop brought the male idol craze to the west. We kind of latched to the seiso parts because we are so tired of degeneracy.
I definitely don't agree with the "no males" rule because ollie collabing with that male vtuber was probably some of the funniest shit she's done so far. Its quite possible that hololive noticed this sieso preference among westerners (their biggest market right now), and decided to go overboard like they usually do.
