I started watching Pomu because I heard she was a tired OL who streams after work.
I also work from the office (less now thank fuck for covid) and when I get home I am generally exhausted as fuck and don't have the energy to do shit all.
When I heard she was an OL I thought I'd try watching her because why not try and see if she plays into that or how she deals with that.
Instead I saw a hardworking lady who does her best to remain energetic and upbeat despite working a shitty office job who despite being in her 30s has somehow managed to hold onto her hobbies and interests and still geeks out about idols, sealife, mt fuji, maids, and other stuff to this day.
I came to slowly admire and look up to her more and more, especially since I had been/am slowly losing any passion I've ever had for anything due to the 1st world problem of working a shitty office job.
When she stopped working, instead of hating her for it I was (and still am) incredibly happy for her. That's a hard risk to take, especially as an older person, over something as volatile as streamer income. I admire her courage for taking that leap and do my best to support her where I can.
When she had her surgery break I genuinely worried for her and hoped that she'd be okay.
She's my oshi not because she's the nicest or the smartest but because she's a regular hardworking person who does her best to stay cheerful given everything life throws at her.
