So, if we head back up a section we can see them define what they call “IP business” and how they believe it’s the core to growing Cover moving forward. So important, in fact, that they call these the milestones for achieving the mission Yagoo stated earlier:
>We have established a three-step business strategy, (1) establish VTuber business, (2) evolve into IP business, and (3) expand creator economic sphere, as an extension of the medium- to long-term strategy that we had previously set forth.
They elaborate:
>By strengthening each of these elements, we aim to create highly reproducible hit IP using video media, develop products and services globally through IP-based merchandising and licensing out, and expand into larger, more proximate content areas such as animation and games. The goal is to gradually expand into a larger scale IP business while ensuring reproducibility.
I want to again focus on a specific phrase here: “expand into larger, more proximate content areas such as animation and games”. This is where Cover believes their future focus is: producing more animation content and games using their existing vtuber intellectual property.

Now, I’d like to dig into why I feel like this could be a trap, or at the very least misguided without proper direction.
