I was in the "X days until last stream" thread and sometimes checked on /HaHa/. X days until last stream thread would stay up for multiple hours and there was at least 1 or 2 more Selen threads on the catalog that were moving at the same speed, in addition /HaHa/ was a ghost town where the same 5 guys were on bump watch trying to keep the thread alive. /vt/ is just not big in the vtuber sphere, in addition the board is relatively anti-Niji so people who watch Nijisanji stay isolated in their threads.
This is all to say that using this board to judge the reaction towards Elira is a bad idea, it's just no representative of the situation. If it makes you feel any better the vast majority of the replies in her recent tweets (I checked the handle, not the replies, I know they scrub those) were 90% positive. She has a base to come back to, even if diminished. Admittedly she's not going to get the Doki welcome on her return, but she can do the Sayu grind if she dedicated herself to it.
