>There shouldn't be anything inherently repulsive to men about male vtubing on a conceptual level. It's just an anime puppet show combined with streaming, and lots of men like male anime characters. The problem is A. it is absurdly hard to find models that don't look like they were designed with women or gay men in mind and B. aren't overtaken by women anyway
It's not about the models. It's not about being dominated by girls.

Here is the ranking for tracked male vtubers (sorted by their median) NOT FROM NIJISANJI
>pic related

Outside of Nijisanji, there is no market for male vtubers to get anywhere near to any of the girl vtubers performance.
All of the sucessful male vtubers in this list did one and ONLY ONE thing
>became specialists and references in their particular tiny niches

Here are the top ones, all the utmost specialists in their niches
>Chiroru: baseball watchalong
>Nerumero: Genshin
>GatchmanV: Phasmo (also a convert)
>Hal and Reid: FPS
>Genshin Mosu: Genshin
<Tamaki: in this list on a technicality
from that point below it's all "small fry", 2k median or below.

There is no market for male vtubers, be it in the west or elsewhere except if you get into Nijisanji
It is the exact same thing for the girls, except on a different company.
>b.but 2k can feed a family of 13 in Africa
that doesn't really change the point being made here
