Yeah the series is an acquired taste for westerners. The story is more focused on the world rather than the characters themselves, and that they don't hold your hand in regards of progression so it isn't uncommon for people to feel utterly lost. I do recommend RS2 when ever you get the chance.

You probably already know that some have played SaGa Frontier. Korone played all the original routes while Botan only did Blue from what I remember.

I hope that once beating Romancing SaGa 3 that Sora would be interested in doing Romancing SaGa 2 in the future.
