NTA but feeling like I can pitch in since I got my record here which is just a little bit lower than that anon.
The reason you need to melt YAGOOs is to kill bunch of them and level up, thus increasing your stat. No amount of healing will do you good if you get one shot in the slight frame between the wings' attacks.
You can see here in my run that I was severely underleveled compared to that anon, only kept alive by Full Meal doubling the healing I got. Once it got to 38 mins with only 2 collabs the rate of EXP was painfully slow because I couldn't kill the YAGOOs fast enough.
