I want to begin the discussion by asking you all your opinions on transparency. I think this is one of the biggest reasons why Rosemi also doesn't do zatsudans and often relies on something else to compliment them, most recently VR chat. I honestly think Rosemi doesn't have much going on in life, which is why she either talked about work or talks about her family. Being an introvert that is too hazukashi to make conversation, she only has basically past live experiences to talk about with her chat instead of actually conversing with them, or letting them settle on a topic by simply asking how everyone is and what they've been up to.
Now, having said this, since she talks about her family a lot, and if she does indeed have a relationship is smart enough to not bring it up, she talks about how overbearing her parents are. I'm sure the internship-turned-job thing was their idea. Rosemi was crystal clear from the start that she was in an internship and that she couldn't wait to quit to stream full time. When she announces, a fucking month into being a fulltime streamer, that she's going back to school, that illusion of her being transparent is fucking broken; how do your fans who have been with you from the start, feel about having supported you all this fucking time only for you to basically say
>yeah i'm only going full-time a little while, i'm going back to school tee-hee
I'm convinced this was the reason her SC earning dipped even further in May.
I think that in Rosemi's case, talking about her work life in such a half-assed manner fucked her over.. If fans didn't know she was working on top of streaming, they might not have become as endeared to her, but they also wouldn't have the expectations that the content quality, effort and output would have been better once she quit. And being blindsided with the college thing just adds salt in the wound because they now have to contend with just accepting this, making some feel lied to or scammed. Rosemi needed to be upfront about EVERYTHING she planned to do from the start because she can't talk about anything other than herself. Ideally this is stuff you don't mention and something you keep to yourself.
