I'd recommend it. No other game has given me the experience of transforming a submarine into an underwater nightclub blasting psytrance across the ocean which has the unfortunate side effect of attracting all extremely hostile fauna to it. Though the music speakers were part of a mod but if you aren't playing with mods your missing out on a lot of variety.

Yeah... that's the eternal struggle. I grabbed a bunch of my dnd friends for it. I'd still recommend it even if you play solo since it's still a fun experience in my opinion. also teaches you how to be good at every role.

Ahh yeah that'll get you. I wouldn't say the game is scary, more unnerving especially if you have to go out of the sub to do missions like clearing caves or mining it gets even worse if your playing solo. Like imagine your just swimming in this dark as shit cave and suddenly a very angry shrimp merged with a velociraptor swims up from behind to maul your character.
