On the one side, Grimmi specifically denied that it was Nij and even clearly said she never even considered them. On the other, FallenShadow tweeted in response to her un-graduation that she was glad and Grimmi deserved better than what she alluded to as an unnamed company. This was at the height of the NijiEN controversy so that's what I thought it was a clear reference to.
However - and this is where it gets a bit schizo on my part - I counted the number of dashes in FallenShadow's tweet where she censored the name. It's eight, which is one letter short for Nijisanji and two too many for NijiEN. However, it's exactly the number of character needed for Hololive.
Does FallenShadow have a friend who reincarnated in Hololive? Yes.
Did FallenShadow also tweet yesterday about being sad that Soya was going to graduate and possibly reincarnate into a corpo, causing her to feel sad about - to paraphrase her - yet another friend who will be growing distant after joining a corpo?
Could FallenShadow be referring to her Hololive friend as that prior experience? Possibly, I don't know enough about their past and present rapport to say for sure.
Could FallenShadow have been referring to Hololive for the Grimmi tweet? Possibly but I was always under the impression she had a positive assessment of Hololive, so I found it hard to believe she would've been celebrating Grimmi not going to Holo rather than Niji.
Where am I going with this, other than suggesting that FallenShadow think Grimmi's un-graduation had to do with Niji? Nothing but I do know in the past 36 hours, I've only slept for 2.
