In addition to Noel and the Knights of Shirogane or whatever Noel fans are called, some of them just kind of bullshitted them once and never used them again methinks.
It would make sense for there to be a universal doctrine of sorts or rite of passage for specific nations, kind of like how Hedge Knights in ASoIaF are allowed passage into tourneys and service to a lord despite most of them being no name peasant hobos with a horse and armor. Knights from any nation with a recorded knighthood are allowed to patrol along the roads of certain nations, maybe specific roads as well, to protect against schizos, bandits, and other misfits so long as their justice is dually recorded and they abide by the laws of the land they travel.
