That's Selvius' quest, where his objective is to make a potion that turns Ranni (a literal demigod and omni-aware witch) into a sex doll by just jamming it down her throat while she's sleeping.

Malenia is the dumbest of the demigods. She has one thing she values: Miquella. What does she do? Leaves Miquella unguarded and goes off to fight Radahn, gets her ass handed to her and then has to use the Scarlet Rot to tie the fight, destroying like a third of the continent. And while she's involved in this dumb fight that doesn't further her goals? Miquella gets kidnapped by someone who wants to impregnate him. Then she just sits there and sleeps, hoping he'll get home on his own somehow.

There's literally a questline about this. If you side with Seluvius in his first quest he says he has an idea to make a potion that can even subdue Ranni's mind. He gets you to gather the ingredient he needs and tells you to slip the potion to her while she's passed out so she never wakes up. Of course, Ranni bolts awake if you try to administer it because she's way more aware of Seluvius' plotting than she lets on and in no uncertain terms calls you a depraved freak for trying to have sex with her lifeless body and kicks you out, ending her questline.

Conclusion: Ranni is for loving marriage only.
