I must remark I’m a zoomer myself. I think I grew sour of those who complained about the pettiest things and convinced myself they’re a very popular majority. Maybe I just don’t comprehend the ideas of those who are supposedly just like me, especially when I don’t want to involve myself in politics, which I have a distaste for
I acknowledge not all zoomers are bad and they’re able to “think in 3D”, those are the people I identify with. A group where you can think beyond the typical spectrum, find its flaws and then give an accurate opinion. I think I blame zoomer culture, for reasons I mentioned before, but maybe it’s just an idea I made to blame what I consider mass stupidity
I’m a coward, I would probably not endure a day in a place like Twitter if I decide to make a tweet making a take instead of retweeting fanart, I wouldn’t deal with the pressure
Someone called me a 16 y/o, funny enough that’s when I started using more social media. Most of the ideological knowledge I’ve gathered has been from forums, wikis and media like TV, movies and videogames instead of some viral post. I must also remark, not that I think current social media is doomed to be filled with unhelpful information, I’ve learned to pick some good things that I’ve shared around but I had to see a lot of crap, hence why I became disillusioned about “the popular opinion”
Look, I don’t want to sound like some kind of hipster, but I’m getting where I’m being pretentious. I’m grateful of those who learned to don’t give a damn about complicated things and just enjoy what they like, and I’m also grateful of those who want to seek the truth beyond what’s considered common sense, because those are the ones I admire
I notice I’m also being simple-minded in the fact I want to see grey or colorless where there’s only black and white, not in a sense of morality but ideologies. I don’t know if I made myself clear, I’ve been actually reflecting on myself these 90 minutes
