Lava tubes could be a good place to live in as the planet would have significant volcanism at least in the past, and being that close to the sun means some form of shelters from solar radiation would be necessary before shielding becomes a thing!

I like unusual worlds and a planet split in halves like that sounds pretty cool without being totally uninhabitable!
