Despite being called an indie she made a deal with some company that rrat's say is Chinese company (probably not true). This company was really scummy and would metatag her videos with the name's of Hololive members without Uto's knowledge. They also made it part of the deal that Uto could not disclose that she was working with said company. Uto did eventually part ways with this company but the damage to her reputation had already been done.

You do know Uto was also a quality streamer, singer, and perfect clip bait. While "lol I'm Ame's sister" may have gotten her foot in the door it's her quality content that got people to stay. Just look at Nabi's other daughters and Nacho's other daughters - none of them have reached the success of Uto.
