I use a controller with back paddles, but I've heard from some friends that they like the keyboard controls. I imagine the manual aim mode that you can unlock later would be pretty good on KB+M.

I personally used mission 6 (?) early on. It's the one where you attack the dam complex . You can do it pretty quickly, and it'll net you ~170-190K depending on ammo and repair costs.
