Same, I'm not a big fan of the hyper fixation on destruction you see in a lot of more casual robot fighting fans. Control matches can be a very fun to watch, although living in a region where control bots were the meta for a long time I'd definitely pick the spinner meta you can currently have over in the US over what season 6 and 7 of robot wars was, which was basically "Tornado/Storm 2 push the other robot around for a minute or two, then win"
I personally think the Flipper meta the UK and China currently have is the most preferable though.

keep up the good work! its a great way of getting the kids to learn practical engineering. I wouldn't know how to weld or do wiring if I didn't get into building beetle weights!
