Ok anon I'll give you some advice to help you cope and get out of the slump because I've been down there way too many times.
1. Do something that you can accomplish easily. Like clean the bathroom, the kitchen etc or work on something you've been putting off.
2. Get some air, get outside in the sun.
3. Listen to uplifting music. As much as you wanna listen to sad and depressing music try and avoid doing it.
4. Since you're worried about your employment, make a new resume, get on indeed or another job search site and see what your prospects are, make an account with a job recruitment agency.
5. Avoid drugs and alcohol. They may temporarily make you feel better until the effects wear off.
6. Do something that makes (you) feel good like exercise or cooking a nice meal or trying out a new recipe.
7. Get proper sleep, set a schedule stick to it.
8. Fresh fruit and veggies really help but if you cant afford them get some multivitamins.
And finally remember the depression is temporary and you can get through it.
