The term unicorns in the context of vtubers, has always been used as an insult to people who are mentally ill that spergs out everytime their oshi does something that breaks the gfe. it's very similar/the same to a gachikoi. but nowadays people are wearing the term unicorn as a badge of honor, because they seriously think they have a chance to be with their oshi irl. whats worse is, i doubt a lot of them even watch streams, buy merch or in their membership. they've probably made more bait threads and falseflagging than watched minutes of streams. despite calling themselves unicorns, they talk more about males and hating on their "oshi" by calling her a whore. that is why you shouldn't take any of them seriously, just move on and avoid them like the plague that they are.
