Actively trying to incite the worst part of the fanbase for content is the most cynical and spiteful shit they could do; consistently trying to bait out in the worst of people in anticipation of this exact kind of response just so they can put a middle finger at it. Is that what Nijisanji has been reduced to? Drama adjacent reactionaries? Wasn't one of the best parts of this community being able to trust the audience to ignore and report bullshit like so that it wouldn't interfere with the show, letting fans keep on supporting the talents in doing what they do? Over the last decade there has been more and more emphasis on the concept of giving content creators their "money's worth", regardless of the quality of the content put in. Used to be nobody would give a shit about low effort funnies, you would contribute to be part of something, for the passion, for community spirit.
Perhaps at first it was a good idea, times were tough and the recession would have left creation to die without support. Now though? It's lulled into a wane of entitlement, where sources outweight the purpose of intent, and unwarranted self-importance reigns supreme, coalescing into the shitshow that is people trying to make NFTs of their fucking jpgs.

Finally, we have a situation where content creators are siphoning off of each other, not in a "standing on the shoulders of giants" way either, a situation where no side can justify the other's position without compromising their own material. The people will fight like dogs over credit and this new putrid phase of overgenerosity will die, no more will people be subjected to the arbitrary to the tune of graduates, weaned off of a culture of painstakingly crafted bibliographies for school credit, no more will whelps with no ambition dictate the trends by doing things for the sake of irony rather than passion.
