You know it's kind of selfish for Selen to start this tournament to "bridge the gap between Niji and Holo, then to use that audience to raid Niji streams with.

While waiting for Selen's stream I literally got hit with ads from a different vtuber corporation. Other vtuber corps are putting their ads on Nijisanji streams.
Meanwhile Nijisanji, the billion dollar corporation, refuses to spend a fucking DIME advertising anybody. What the fuck?

Historically, Hololive had about a 6-fold increase in viewers over NijiEN.
During the doldrums of the Omega era, this fell to about a 3-fold increase. In other words it looked like NijiEN was closing the gap.
But since NijiEN's collapse and the release of Advent, today HoloEN has a 10-FOLD increase over NijiEN.
The average NijiEN girl gets 1k viewers, the average HoloEN girl gets 10k.

But consider that in NijiEN, about 1/2 the girl's fans are female. So that means with regard to male fans specifically, HoloEN is about 20x greater.
So in other words, if there are 100 male vtuber fans in a room, 95 of them are watching holoEN, and 5 of them are watching NijiEN.

The proportion of males watching NijiEN is almost the same as the proportion of homosexuals in the general population.

But examine this more closely. Why did HoloEN decline during the Omega era? Well....because they reduced the barrier between males an females like Niji does.
And how come the earlier NijiEN girls did so much better than the later ones? Well....because they weren't in a mixed-gen, and they were pandering towards the hololive audience with cute and seiso behavior.

In other words, Nijisanji culture ITSELF is the problem. Reducing the barrier between male and female IS the problem.
