Indeed, dividends are independent on price, but they are dependent on coin performance in terms of weekly views/subs. The cutoff is Thursday, though, not Friday/Sunday.
The dividends formula isn't public knowledge. There are people who have it figured out, but ultimately it does not matter that much since you can only elucidate the dividends on Thursday versus payout on Friday/Saturday... and you usually invest there long-term, not for a single payment. In a different market, maybe that formula would be more valuable, but as it stands its importance is doubtful.

Indeed. Newhags should treat dividends as a nice bonus, but gearing more towards trade is simply more profitable for them in the current market. Basically, ignore them and focus on day-by-day trading, since it'll bring a ton more profit (as you see in Returns Report, good low-ranked traders make 80-90% of their income by trading).

They can at adjustments. 9:05 server time. 13:05 GMT (daylight savings hate).
To illustrate it, look at Sana's graph. She had a large influx of viewership due to the April Fools stream on April 1st, which was then counted and influenced her price at adjustments on April 2nd.

You have to remember you have basically three people buying 10x non-stop. Besides that, her birthday is incoming and I assume some players higher up are either holding her or buying for ROI which /could/ be a mistake, but according to my quick sheet analysis it's okay in 1-3x if you need to spend a ton of money per cycle.

Negative views are counted as zero. So, the dip won't be as absurd as people might think. She'll basically get 0 daily/weekly views and have 0 locked into weekly views for the week. Since she has no videos anymore, she will continue to get 0 views and will not adjust... in other words, yeah, it won't be a big dip.

There isn't one "right" way of computing inflation. You can use weekly prices, or prices over two or more weeks (since you normalize it to either weekly or daily % anyways), you can use in theory either opening or closing prices, depending on what you want. Although I would argue there are some ways that are more correct than others, purely /because/ you want to get out the thing you want, which is overall market trend/movement, which includes player action.
The figures you get from those calculations are in the same ballpark.
