I used to think this too but over time I have realized it's not exactly easy to drop someone you've gotten so attached to, especially if you've put so much time and money towards them. No two vtubers are exactly alike (not even Vox and Hex) so if you drop one it's not exactly easy to just start watching another like nothing happened. Think of it like a kid who has a favorite toy for years and loses it. Sure you can buy another one, but it's not the same. Nothing can replace the attachment and bond you've formed with that toy. It doesn't have the same scratches, the same messy hair if it's a doll, the same missing parts, the same stains that made that first toy unique. Sure you can still make better use of your time if there's a reason you don't like a vtuber you once loved, but I don't blame anyone for going at least a little bit schizo when they're away from the vtuber they love for so long or have to drop them for reasons they don't want.
