This could be said for anything really. Have you looked at the past week on here? If we wanted to ruin this project, forget discord, all we need to keep doing is what has been happening here for like a month more or something. THAT is how you ruin a project. Containing all the socposting off-site so that the main thread remains purely on topic is honestly a good idea, I mean just look at us, 7ish hours and we are at 70 replies, and basically no drama. We removed the problem and it shows.

I feel like having a public server that anyone can join and look at is better than having 10 different Google docs groups forming over time. Specially when said server has been made with one direction in mind: channel soc and horny away from the thread, so that it can go back to being an actual worldbuilding thread (without the btw this time).

Yea, one note I wanted to make but had to check first was the case of Otter fur. I know you specifically mentioned polar bear fur, but as a sea creature, this, imo, should also be considered. After all, if it's growing a coat anyway, might as well make it as thick as possible to help with thermoregulation, which in turn reduces the need for a layer of blubber (which otters specifically don't have at all) and further still, the need to consume enough food to keep that layer up. Just some ideas to bounce off.
