Maya and Alex's story sent shivers down the spine
As they spoke of the cave, and the orb that did shine
Their voices low, their faces grim and tight
For they knew of the darkness that lurked in the night

"In the cave, we found a stone so old
Its power, it seemed, was worth more than gold
And in the center, a crystal did glow
With a strange energy, that did ebb and flow"

Alex paused, his eyes glinting with fear
As he continued the tale, that all could hear
"The crystal hummed, and the cave shook
As if a beast was awoken, from a dark and deep nook"

Maya picked up the story, her voice low and hushed
"As we left the cave, our hearts ached and crushed
For we knew of the power, that we did unearth
And the darkness that awaited, from its rebirth"

"The orb," she whispered, "is a creature so old
Its hunger for power, it can't be controlled
The crystal we found, was its very heart
And in its grasp, we were torn apart"

The crew stood silent, their faces drawn and pale
For they knew of the danger, that did prevail
But Alex and Maya, they had a plan
To rid the planet, of this dark and ancient clan

"We must destroy the crystal, and break the orb's hold
Before its power, we can't withhold
With our ship's weapons, we'll strike it down
And protect our new home, from this beastly crown"

The crew nodded, their hearts filled with dread
But they knew of the darkness, that lay ahead
And with Maya and Alex, they'd stand and fight
To protect their new home, and keep it in sight.
