Otsonny!! I really enjoyed the stream today! ...I think? He brought back Q remastered in idk like he said he would, although jumped ship to PC since apparently it's on steam now... not sure if it's for better or worse but the actual drawing part definitely seemed to cause him less pain. He installed it on the spot, and for the next hour or so he speedran the three primaries he finished previously to get back where he was. 60 questions in that time isn't TOO bad considering he was probably a bit rusty. It took him a minute to get a few of them like q42, and during a couple he cheate— ahem, I mean had to write emails in the midst of the puzzle, but nothing mindbreaking. Finally, it's onto the secondaries. There are some new mechanics introduced here, like these stationary yellow balls you have to touch once to "activate" and some gravity fuckery, but for the first group of stages there was nothing awful. It was pretty cute seeing his reactions to some of the gravity shit when balls would go flying across the screen. His worst enemies were a diagonal line and a cup of boba, but those still didn't take him an hour to beat. He gets so autistic during this game... I will say that backseating wasn't nearly as bad as it has been previously since it was shielded by IDK, which I was thankful for. He beat secondary 1 in the end! With that, afaik he's completed the most levels out of anyone in niji so far... I still can't believe he chose Q of all games to be a sped about, I guess it can't be helped. I'll look forward to next time, I'm sure the difficulty will ramp up once more. The second and last game for the night was hades, which he pretty much just got one good run in. I really wish I could talk about his actual gameplay more... I've really only played gungeon and nuclear throne as far as roguelikes go but he's got me wanting to finally try it now after years of avoiding it. Damn you sonny. He at last had a run-in with meg's other sister tisiphone, who seems very eloquent, and also encountered thanatos, who he refers to as zagreus's "bestie" and quite appreciates his scythe. He hasn't perfected combat yet but it's clear he's gotten pretty comfortable with the gameplay loop by this point which is nice to see. After dashing his way through elysium (i enjoyed the shade of green here) and beating up butterfly balls, he met his match when he went up against theseus and asterius in the stadium. The minotaur was easy enough but the guy threw too much shit at him and he couldn't beat him this time in the end... I was gonna say, it would have been funny if he easily rekt them on the first try and then got his ass beat in subsequent runs again. You'll get em next time sonny. As always I enjoyed supachayomi time a lot, I feel like he tends to get a little more personal here... too bad for those who don't stick around. I still want to try making mama brisko's scallop pasta! I am also glad we got to hear more about his patrician taste in regards to im@s, I know he'll list his favorite anime characters when it's relevant to the discussion but in general I feel like he doesn't talk enough about the 2D girls he likes. Anzu, sachiko, koume, yayoi etc... excuse the dead meme but a man of culture indeed. Someday he'll reveal his true power level... Anyhow, he did mention something about a big week next week, but I'm not sure if that's referring to the zelda and minecraft spam, possible collabs or something more? Nevertheless, i will anxiously await your schedule. I want to liken it to a maiden waiting for a messenger pigeon, but for reasons I can't put my finger on, it sometimes feels more like a wartime spouse waiting for a telegram KEK. Regardless of how normal it is to be "nervous" for schedules, i look forward to a return to normalcy next week and I hope it's a good one. Thank you for a comfy stream taichou, sleep well and see you soon! o7
