She has depression and some mental illness that prevents her from having a real life job as per suggestion of her psychiatrist, also shes not good with irl socialising. When she was a little kid, her mom, as standard for japanese, refused to take her to a head doctor when it was suggested she may have issues. She was being charged a rent too large from her mom, but recently managed to negotiate the price down. She would like to move out, but hasn't got the enough money to do so.
Some say even if she had the money, her job insecurities would prevent her from having a place rented to her anyway.
Just a tragic case.

> her mom's jobless and needs money, or her mom hates yuuna.

Her mom sounds like standard japanese, where any mental issue is seen as a great embarassment and needs to be hidden away from any public eye.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2S4Md5pUb0 theres a summary of the state of japanese view on such cases here.

I see youre not kidding. Japans cultural take on mentally troubled people is very tragic. I hope she doesn't get to the point where she starts hurting herself. Her vtuber career hasn't picked up as she probably hoped, even though she has pretty nice vtuber model that stands out from the most ive seen.
