The biggest opportunity for profit in a fund is buying 1000x shares daily right when it opens, or rather before it hits $1-2bn - as well as trading your own fund up to that cap. Buying a share of e.g. Delta today will make you less money/slower money than a Delta share you bought on day 1. Law of diminishing returns.
t. chose to actively manage a handful of "dead" funds where EVERYBODY IS HERE and got that "Day 1 boost" feeling again
