Despite the name, the weather isn't actually that similar to the Mediterranean - as the Koppen code indicates, it's more like a mix between Mediterranean rainfall pattern (dry-ish summer, wet winter) and Oceanic temperature, so it's more like Seattle and Portland than Rome and Athens if that helps.

Probably more similar to English (although it's also present in western Norway and southern Sweden) since it's warmed by a warm current, hence you'll see more broadleaf trees in the south (although it starts to mix together the further north and inland you go).
