I actually don't dislike the semi-realistic artstyle, it's kinda reminiscent of some older anime artstyles, but the one part of the model I don't get is the gauntlet design. Most fingers don't look jointed except for the index finger plates, but those are also disproportionately large for some reason.

I've heard her stories but I don't know what's off about them, aside from her being really forward with people. It may be hard to tell for me, I don't really have any social life to compare.
