fanbase wars existed but were at least genuine criticisms of their streams and not just holofag tourists using it to shitpost. they're just recycling the same shit they use against their own vtubers to farm (you)'s, it's not even creative.
when it came down to it no matter how much people shat on finana for her constant self-doxxing and saying things that'd get them in trouble we still supported her growth as a vtuber and celebrated her conquering fishdad's 2 hr time limit. when selen got invited to apex tournaments it was still cool to see her compete with JP's even if her fanbase were annoying about it.
the kinda shit that passes for fanbase wars these days is unironic /#/ antis trying to continue their endless console war.
