We're all mutually fucked up in the head and codependent, just as things should be. That said, we're not actually all that fucked up and it could be much, much worse when you stop to consider the unbridled depravity and general shittyness of a "normal" person. Our dark corner of life is full of people just wanting to support people they like and feel loved in an interesting way, and the entertainers having a safe outlet to actually 'love' the fans back without us invading every facet of their life and their privacy.
