I've flown in dreams, but only in specific circumstances, like a chair that ascends into the air when I hold onto it firmly. One dream I had several times had me weightless and able to accelerate along the ground by grabbing onto my front lawn and dragging myself forward. I would kind of hover just off the ground and slide along like an air hockey table. I think you mainly need to learn the sensation of flying on a trampoline or something, otherwise you can't imagine it.
