you know when none of the hololive girls were streaming and their management was in disarray, that was the window for NijiEN to get popular. Pomu, Elira, Rosemi....could have swooped in and taken that audience by storm.
It was a big window, of about a year, they legitimately could have done it. But now that window has closed, now they are completely invicible.

Instead, NijiEN decided to double, triple, quadruple down on China. Debuting males, pushing the males hard. Pushing gaybaiting ships and hetships, completely destroying whatever appeal the girls might have to a hololive audience. This was the complete wrong strategy, because in the end the Chinese audience abandoned them. They rolled snake eyes on their bet. People were warning them about this, but they did nothing.

Now NijiEN is on its last legs, a dying and beleaguered branch doomed to collapse. Who knows what the future of its talents will be, but it doesn't look bright.
