Their time is far more precious now than the temporary hit they will see from being more selective with SC call outs. So long as they continue to grow and nurture their fanbase, they will earn more SC revenue in the long run on top of merch, sponsorships, you name it. Weeding out a few overly needy fans who want attention more than supporting their oshi won't at all hurt them in the long run. Casual fans aren't impacted and the true fans will just shrug it off.
