/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

Anons, I have a bit of a worldbuilding hobby, so I wanna come up with some stuff about our thread for /vtwbg/. It's basically a collaborative writing project, there isn't really a point besides having fun writing. If "worldbuilding inspired by the vtubers of Euphoria, Kaleido, and the /pcgen3k/ general" gives you any thoughts or ideas feel free to share and I'll work them in. Or you can come write something yourself, if you feel inspired.
For now I mostly have just thought about where we'd be placed (neighbouring /pcg/) and the appearance of Ohmies (blue electric bunny-people... with horns).

/pcgen3k/ is a thread for Phase Connect’s Third Generation: Phase Euphoria, and Phase Kaleido (JP).

I never understood the "Vtubers and streamers are different reeee" mindset. I understand Kizuna and Holo started this shit off, I respect that truly, but Hololive is still there and still doing the same thing, and there are other corpos and indies who keep a "Idol" focused style of content. There are many of the streamer styled vtubers who have been around since 2019/2020 and I would argue they outnumber the idol vtubers by a large margin.
Vtubing never changed, it's just grown substantially, if you want to watch the idol or idol adjacent vtubers go watch them, they never went anywhere, and all the other nerds will watch Shylily and Ironlung.
It's unironically a "BACK IN MY DAY WE HAD TO WALK UPHILL BOTH WAYS AND LEARN JAPANESE TO ENJOY VTUBERS" ass argument.
