In his own words he's "making crazy." He likes to troll/act like a kusogaki for the laughs on stream, but many people who play with him say he's really nice and polite off-stream, and even though he messes with Holostars he loves them a lot. Izuru once said he's like the sun. He has the image of being a playboy, even before the jubutsu arc (and even before being a vtuber, he had a fanclub in high school). He's very much a "do what I want" sort of guy, even with streaming, combine that with the fact he's open with his feelings/emotions he gets called a menhera. But he's a really hard worker, and very ambitious, and crazy talented in a lot of areas (singing, dancing, performing, gaming, he can even draw decently). He's very fashionable and loves clothes, LOVES Disney and theme parks. Oh yeah and he's a furry shotacon.

I honestly can't tell if they're actually not allowed to show it. Astel has several times and he just leaves the VOD up. But then again it's Astel.

Trying to figure out Astel's thought processes is a fool's task. On one hand, he clearly recognizes and acknowledges that dome fights, and close range fights in general, are obvious weakness in their performances thus far. On the other, the Wingman and Flatline are his favorite weapons in the game, and he looks like he's prioritizing polishing up Roboco and Choco over actually winning games. It wouldn't surprise me that he's just trying to put in aim practice in the scrims before switching to a shotgun in the actual tournament.
