There's no separate word for "dying from overwork". Karoshi is 過労死, which is from 過労, overwork, and 死, death. Its like typing the full sentence "death from overwork", its how kanji works.
And no, they dont see anything especially wrong with it like american customers dont see anything wrong with paying 20% in tips to cover for nightmare salaries, or european citizens consider 16-21% VAT a pretty normal thing to be paying for regular consumer goods.
Yeah the average japanese doesnt really want to wake up at 6 am to go to work like the average westerner doesnt really want to pay taxes. But its what they do and what they were raised to do, so there's not a real complaint. You may have opinions on it, you may complain on twitter, but at the end of the day you dont really *care* too much about it, or you have ingrained arguments as to why tipping 10-15% of your bill every meal is good.
"Corporate slave" is a relatively political statement, stronger than wageslave in the west. Might aswell be an EN vtuber saying "wagecucking on eurotruck simulator".

If you complain about working overtime in JP people will consider you lazy and inconsiderate, because you're fundamentally saying you want your team to work more because you dont feel like working because you're lazy. People schedule vacation days months in advance to not be an inconvenience to their team, and WILL cancel appointments if their team needs them to be in the office. Thats the argument, that you work because your team work and it would be a dick move to have them work more because of you and your selfishness.
Also corporate culture in japan is a nightmare scenario but most bosses were employees once and arent as inconsiderate as you'd think. "Black company", basically a white collar sweatshop, is a term that doesnt exist in the west because your boss fucking you over is a common occurrence here and relatively rare there.
