I was going to tell you to avoid APC and complain about them because I have two of them that keep beeping the song of their fucking people at me, but one of them is 10 years old and the other must be going on 12 and they've both been through like 3 or 4 batteries as well - so it's a recommendation now...
The bigger 1500VA one has its fan on full blast now and doesn't care if you replace the battery so I'm putting it out to pasture. The babby 750VA one that I think might only have some old ass consoles plugged into it just randomly starts screeching every 8-12 hours. The battery is fucking fine...
On the bright side, that shitty little piezo beeper sounds like it's on its last legs, so either I untangle the mess that's between me and its wall outlet and figure out what's wrong with it, or the beeper croaks after over a decade of service.
