It's more complicated than that though atleast for me. I know the group in question are a friendly bunch, but even with cool laid back cliques like that there's always a hierarchy of social dynamics loose as it may be. You have people who share special interests, people who have been buddies for longer, people that make content, people that share content, and people that make everyone laugh. Even if I did join what could I add to a conversation topic that other people haven't? I don't want to just take up space as a nonentity with simple responses being most of my engagement.
