THAT'S KIND OF A BIG DEAL, THOUGH. That's half the job of a character design is to make something that fits into the aesthetic of the world and the other characters. Look at Byleth from Three Houses. Is the design sexy? Yes. Is the design impractical for actual combat? Also yes. But does it match fairly well with the designs that came before it and not stick out like a sore thumb compared to every other previous protagonist in the franchise? Yes. Yes it does.
