I believe that there are two things that are at the root of all of /yah/s problems
1. Thread quality took a noticeable nosedive when people started posting in early threads
2. I genuinely believe /yah/ has a newfag problem.
I've been here for about three and a half months, and in that time I've seen more symptoms of newfaggotry than in any other threads. People feeling the need to justify replying to bait, people not knowing they can delete their own posts, people not being able to recognise new ips. People not checking ip counters and still calling out "raids". People not recognising 4chanX filenames and accusing people of samefagging. People not knowing you can search a filename in the archives to see all post results. We also have genuine reddit tourists (I know this because I've checked the profiles of the people who post on the Beatani subreddit).
And an overall lack of acknowledgment of Anons' own anonymity, likely a product of spending too much time on twitter and putting too much investment in their online personas IE; usernames (because they need a username to get recognised by Beatani). This breeds jealousy and gossip.

24/7 threads were always a bad idea, because there isn't enough to discuss to justify an entire thread, and time will always be filled to avoid threads being archived. Dads are bored and lonely and want to spend time talking to each other, and now as a result of that we have a Discord. Which theoretically could work, because it gives bored lonely dads a place to belong, but now it just seems that threads will become a safe haven for trolls, shitposters, gossip, drama stirrers and overall discord hate. And these people will likely never leave as long as we have a newfag problem.
