I'm glad my plan has been working so far.
When I first posted the vocaroo and catbox links here I figured it'd help boost her numbers but I was afraid things would go south once she decided to apologize before things even started gaining traction. Guess it paid off somehow, though, so I'm glad

You mean as a joke? The Southside is pretty well known here, people know who Rummy is, but she isn't a /lig/ger. She's not partnered. She's not allowed to be discussed.

It's the perfect concoction to keep out the faggotry that plagues the rest of the board. No BRAND wars from the BRAND mercenaries, no cutthroat shilling and faggotry from 2views and their groomers trying to make their own careers while sabotaging the careers of others, no lull in content causing the thread to resort to intense shitposting and bait taking faggotry in order to keep itself alive. /lig/ is above all of that specifically because of the terms we put into place. We're above you.

I have a proposal for you /lig/. As I'm sure you're all aware, there are a variety of dedicated Anons in our midst who have taken it upon themselves to record and archive various chuubas' streams so that none of them may be lost to time. And while they may often go unnoticed or without thanks, they no doubt provide an invaluable service to our community. However, I have noticed a potential problem with our current system of archival. While these sporadic posts containing links to various download sites are useful to those looking for deleted VODs a day or so after they happen, as time goes on these links will end up being just as fleeting as the original streams. I aim to find a solution to this problem, and after much thought and consideration of the resources at my disposal, I have determined that an Internet Archive collection of lost chuuba VODs would be the most optimal solution.

After much research into the subject, here is a list of all of the key information I have gathered about how this process would work and its caveats:
>In order to create a collection, a minimum of 50 relevant files must be uploaded by a single user
>That user must then apply for an Internet Archive Collection by contacting archive.org staff with a list of the relevant items along with the potential collection's name, description, logo, and url path. These can all be edited by the user after the collection is created
>You must also provide a list of email addresses that you want to have admin privileges for this collection. It is unclear if more admins can be later added by the user or if another request to archive.org staff must be made

Things to consider/potential issues:

• In accordance with archive.org ToS, anyone whose content appears on the Internet Archive has the right to send a takedown request that will remove that content from their servers. In order to deter any chuuba who may find this archive from sending a takedown request, I plan to be as diplomatic and understanding as possible in the wording pertaining to this collection. I intend to make it clear that this archive is not kept out of malice or mockery, but out of love for our chuubas. I intend to point out that any references to sensitive personal information have been removed from the VODs, and perhaps even provide an email that chuubas may use to contact a collection admin in order to give them an alternative course of action to submitting a takedown request.

• I do not have the storage space to keep a backup of this archive. If something gets removed, it's gone. If another Anon wants to maintain a local backup of the VODs once they're all consolidated, they're welcome to do so, but that person cannot be me.

I want to hear your thoughts on this project, any questions you may have or details I may have missed. And any archivers out there who are interested in contributing directly to this project, please speak up. I intend for this to be a community repository, not a solo venture.
