Depends. Beginning to network /here/ is a good way to get some startup and numbers. Other people not /here/ like to peek at numbers to determine if you're "worth" interacting with. Pretty shallow, but that's just how it is. I know /asp/ isn't in the greatest spot from looking in there recently, but I think the old aspies are doing alright for themselves and even some of the newer ones are noticeably growing.
