can't speak for the rest of europe since places like japan expo and dokomi seem like decent anime cons, but the UK anime con scene is shite tbdesu. they're all as family/normie friendly as possible and tend to branch out into things unrelated to anime to bait parents i assume. my local (decently large) comic con has a corner dedicated to pro wrestling kek. anime feels fairly mainstream amongst teens/people in their 20's but i guess they don't understand how to market a con well here. impossible to find other vtuber fans irl though ;-;
