She was absolutely a bootlicker, but it was more of a battered wife saying that her husband loves her between beatings rather than an opportunistic flatterer. She drank the kool-aid and had to be torn from the company by force. I didn't realize Selens graduation was scheduled internally for February until today. That was was pretty much the only part about the MV rrat that I had me doubting its validity. It's clear as day now.

I missed her debut out of the others in Obsydia. Pomu was my Nijioshi since I recognized her from her previous incarnation. However Selen eventually won me over with her infectious laughter and standout personality in a sea of idol wannabes and coombaiters. It was funny being assuaged early on by early nijifan statements that Nijisanji doesn't expect you to watch all the livers, just a select few. Turns out this was the same rationalization Nijimgmt used in favouritism a select few livers. Ironically the ones they didn't favour were the only ones I was drawn to. Funny how that works.

I think what he meant was that Pomu was just as driven as Selen, but put up much less of a fight when faced with rejection. If you've worked jobs where you're the only standout in a group, it can make the rest hate you for making them look lazy by comparison. I think that's essentially what it came down to with Selen/Pomu and the rest.
