I was thinking that the Minecraft server split situation between JP+ID and EN parallels vtubers debuting in a big company, and vtubers debuting as indies or a very small group with no established foundation. On one hand you have something built by entire generations of senpai ahead of you, on the other you get fed to the hordes of zombies and creepers.
Compare Reine building the new ID shop as little more than a manual laborer under Moona (who could very well run her own construction company if it wasn't for the Pekora saga), to Ame insisting that she should build everything by herself without any help from guides or backseaters.
