NTA but I also do quite a bit with koi(or CharaStudio, the packaged character-posing software, if you wanna get really specific). Accessories(basically anything that isn't just clothes) that are attached to limbs tend to clip more than they don't, mainly because they're added with the character's default pose in mind.
It *is* a pretty easy fix with a little editing, though.
