Someone needs to, which is why those selfless souls have eagerly stepped up to appropriate their voice and speak on their behalf. In their minds, people of African descent simply can't be counted on to think or act in their own best interests, which is why they need the guiding hand of wokeism to lead them down a proper and righteous path. Some may disagree, and even believe that people of any given ethnicity are best suited to speak on their own behalf. However, that opinion stands in defiance of imperial decree, and shan't be allowed in polite society.
