I'm fucked. You know the Comics industry in america has a lot to answer for. Pulp fiction used to be a viable way to get your name out there, dudes in the 1920s would have ridiculous stats publishing 90 fucking books before they turned twenty.

I read somewhere Upton Sinclair used stenographers to write 5000 words of pulp a day, and I always thought how ridiculous that sounds. Theres no way there was a modicum of quality control. They still have a thriving pulp market in europe, russia and japan but America is unique in that comic books killed the entire industry.
